NBC Takes Megyn Kelly Off Air..Show Likely To Be Cancelled And You Won’t BELIEVE What For!
NBC took Megyn Kelly off air on Thursday after she had apologized for her “blackface” comments. It’s being reported that her show will most likely be cancelled.
On Thursday morning the Megyn Kelly Today show was obviously a previously recorded episode as Kelly greeted her audience with “happy Friday!”
CNN has reported that “Kelly’s show will be ending” and it is very unlikely that she will be returning. Kelly’s “blackface” comments she made earlier in the week seem to have been the last straw for the network.
Even Kelly’s co-workers publicly declared her comments to be “ignorant” and “indefensible.” The comments took place on her Tuesday show when she asked “what is racist” about putting on blackface for Halloween.
“But what is racist?” Kelly asked. “Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character.”
Kelly even wondered what was so upsetting about Luann de Lesseps of The Real Housewives of New York making her skin a little darker when she dressed up as Diana Ross.
“There was a controversy on The Real Housewives of New York with Luann, and she dressed as Diana Ross, and she made her skin look darker than it really is and people said that that was racist,” Kelly said. “And I don’t know, I felt like who doesn’t love Diana Ross? She wants to look like Diana Ross for one day. I don’t know how, like, that got racist on Halloween.”
After being destroyed all over social media for her remarks she sent an email to colleagues to apologize for her comments, saying that she now knows that “the history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent, the wounds too deep.”
Megyn Kelly signed a three-year deal worth $69 million last year with NBC after embracing the “never Trumpers” while on Fox News through the 2016 presidential election. Kelly just couldn’t cut it with the mainstream liberal media.
